Toronto Boutique Must-Sees: Carbon

When it comes to a unique shopping experience, boutiques can’t be beat. It’s always something special when you find the right piece at a little independent store. Which is why I try and shop in boutiques as much as I can. But if you don’t know where the best boutiques are, it can be a challenge. Recently my team and I had a day of exploring the Yonge-Eglington area and were fortunate enough to spend some time in Carbon—a beautiful boutique that not only surrounds you with quality contemporary lifestyle clothing, but also little bowls of candy to snack on while you shop (always a great shopping bonus).  After a great try-on session, we found some team favourites- an amazing tweed blazer, the comfiest chambray button up, and a great pair of essential black leather booties. We also noticed a ton of great brands, including Sosken, Bailey 44, Joliee, Rails, Mother denim and so so many more. It’s actually a miracle that we walked out empty handed—outfits and brands were calling us from left and right! Favourite pieces aside, we also loved Carbon for the experience. Our salesperson, Sharon—who is also part owner—helped us with everything we needed, and ensured we left the store educated and feeling great about the items we tried on. That’s essentially why I love working with boutiques—the one-on-one experience is like no other. PLUS you’re finding quality, essential pieces that your wardrobe desires.  To check out other brands that Carbon carries, you can visit their website at https://www.carbonfashion.ca. Also, if you have another boutique favourite, tell me about it and contact me on Instagram: @your_shop_girl or email me at suzanne@www.yourshopgirl.com!
