Your Weight Loss Wardrobe

"I’m in the middle of losing weight. Should I still buy clothing?"That is a good question, but I have a better one: Do you want to feel good about yourself? Or better yet…Do you deserve to feel good about yourself? I think the answer to both of those questions is a resounding, “Yes!”. We spend too much time focusing on ridiculous number and not enough time focusing on ourselves and our happiness. Nevertheless, you asked me this question, so I want to answer itWhether you are returning to your new normal after a baby or you have committed yourself to a new way of life, I think it is important to have a plan for how you build your “in between” wardrobe. Here are my tips:your weight loss wardrobe1. Think about having a week's worth of outfits. Or, let’s do one better and think about a month’s worth of outfits. We will need two bottoms and five tops that go with both, plus two layering pieces. They should all use the same colour palette, so they can mix and match easily.2 bottoms with 5 tops = 10 outfits2 bottoms with 5 tops and 2 options for layering = 20 outfits9 pieces = 30 outfitsLoad up on accessories that you love as well since they work at any size (shoes, anyone?)2. Set your budget and stick to it. If you don't have a set amount, think of it this way: how much your would want to pay for each of the pieces listed above(2 bottoms, 5 tops and 2 jackets or cardigans)? There is your budget!3. Think about your style. I need you to think about the way you want the world to see you. How do you want to be described?4. Only buy what you love. Not like, but love. I don’t care if you are a few pounds above what your resting weight is. There is no excuse for buying or wearing clothes that you do not love.Once you have reached the end of your weight loss journey you should be able to safely say that your capsule wardrobe was well loved.Your Style Queen,S.C.
